Brompton Cookery School with BBC Good Food Show bloggers

As a new member of the BBC Good Food Show blogging community, I was invited to a meet and greet at the gorgeous Brompton Cookery School in Shrewsbury owned by Marcus Bean.

The school is part of a collection of barn conversions on a National Trust property with purpose built workspaces for up to 16 people, a chef's demo area and private dining room. They hold a range of classes by Marcus and guest chefs, from bread, butchery and baking to meat, fish and foraging!
Should you wish to extend your stay, there is also the farmhouse bed and breakfast with 5 guest bedrooms.

We were taken on a tour of the gardens where Marcus hand picked a selection of flowers and herbs to be used in our lunch later.

A selection of delicious breads from Swifts Bakery in Ludlow.

Rob from Swifts is fifth generation, continuing the family tradition since 1863.

Delicious salami and chorizo from Cornish charcuterie

Our lunch spread; delicious, artisan bread from Swifts; seasonal asparagus quiche and salads from Marcus; chutneys and dressings from The Garlic Farm and the Great British Sauce Co.
Finished off with the most delicious chocolate mousse made with Marou chocolate and Marcus' home made honeycomb.

If you'd like to book tickets to the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC in June where you will see these and many other producers, click here.
