BBC Good Food Show returns to NEC Birmingham

One of the nation’s best-loved food events, the BBC Good Food Show, returns to the NEC Birmingham this winter for a four-day celebration of all things tasty. 

The flagship event will run just in time for Christmas, from Thursday 30 November until Sunday 3 December, and will bring together some of the biggest names in the industry. Visitors can enjoy live cooking demonstrations, get insight from local food heroes and get into the festive spirit as over 400 exhibitors will be showcasing their produce and products. 

Highlights visitors can look forward to at this year’s event include: 

The Big Kitchen: 
Hosted in the show’s super theatre, the Big Kitchen gives you the chance to see some of the most recognisable faces in cookery up close and personal. Two of the most well-known names in baking, Mary Berry and Nadiya Hussain, will be sharing some their cooking and kitchen tips into their festive favourites; and TV personalities the Hairy Bikers and James Martin will be entertaining the crowds with their live cookery shows. 

BBC Good Food Stage: 
Having seen the celebrity chefs rustle up their signature dishes in the Big Kitchen, the intimacy of the BBC Good Food Show Stage gives visitors a chance to see a side of the chefs they may not have seen before. Michelin-starred restaurateurs Michel Roux Jr., Raymond Blanc and Tom Kerridge will all be interviewed in individual sessions answering visitors personal queries. 

Big Family Cooking Showdown LIVE: 
Nadiya Hussain’s hit BBC TV programme will be coming to the NEC this winter, on the final day of the show. Joined by Judge Giorgio Locatelli, Nadiya will compere as the show’s winning family cook one of their star dishes. 

Shopping: 
Along with celebrity tips and demonstrations, visitors can sample and purchase delicious food and drink from the UK’s finest brands. With Christmas on the horizon, the rare and off the-high-street produce available make for excellent festive gifts, as well as boutique kitchen equipment perfect for any foodie. 

Pop-up Restaurants: 
The BBC Good Food Show Pop-up Restaurant gives you the chance to experience first-hand some of the most popular recipes from BBC Good Food Magazine Christmas issue. The sit down restaurant provides the perfect pit-stop as visitors plan how to best navigate the Show. 

The Whisky Blending Lab: 
New to the winter show, The Whisky Lounge is adding a fresh new experience, giving visitors a hands-on whisky blending workshop. Whether a scotch novice or a regular, you can make a blend to your specific tastes with the assistance of an expert, and take your own miniature bottle home. 

CAMRA’s Great British Beer Experience: 
Returning to the show this winter, The Campaign for Real Ale and Beer. Hawk will be hosting tutored beer tastings, giving those at the show the opportunity to explore new tastes, learn about the art of brewing and gain an insight into the diversity of real ale. 

Book Signings/Meet The Author: 
Some of the show’s stars will be hosting daily book signings for fans who want meet their food heroes. With a pop-up book store stocking all the latest cook books, visitors will get the chance to take home some highly personalised memorabilia. 

Producer’s Bursary Awards: 
Back at the event for the eighth year, the BBC Good Food Show is supporting food and drink producers in the artisan and speciality food industry by hosting the Producer’s Bursary Awards. The campaign offers small, outstanding British and Irish producers the opportunity to exhibit for free at one of the BBC Good Food Shows.
